Vocations

Purpose:  Plan and organize efforts to raise the level of parish awareness regarding the need for vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

• Identify and support students who are interested in vocations of church service in any possible way
• Advise, support and communicate with the Parish Staff
• Maintain contact with the trustees of the Fr. Joseph Strange Vocation Fund, publicize the availability of this fund to support students studying for the priesthood, and solicit donations to the fund
• Cooperate with and solicit the support of other organizations such as the Knights of Columbus, Serra Club, Council of Catholic Women, The Diocesan Vocations office who are engaged in the promotion and support of religious vocations
• Work with the School Principal and the Director of Faith Formation to incorporate religious vocation awareness and promotion activities into the school and religious education curricula
